Technology Transfer China: Mission Vol. III

Direct Fly team visits China again! This time the purpose of the visit was the on-site support to the Chinese customer who recently bought Technology Transfer of the ALTO 912TG airplane.

In the first half of July 2018 the DF team was sent to the customer in China. The purpose of the visit was regular maintenance of supplied aircrafts, ALTO basic kits conformity check and documentation required by Chinese cooperant.

Maintenance was carried out in customer’s aviation park near the Xinchang city. Fleet counting six pieces of ALTO 912TG airplanes decorated newly built hangars and airport background. Remaining aircrafts are operated at the Qiandaohu airport. Aircrafts are used for sight-seeing flights for public. ALTO gained popularity among pilots and public which was confirmed by 40 take-offs and landings in a single day!

During expedition there was an inspection carried out by the LAA representative Jan Fridrich. His task was conformity check of ALTO basic kits.

In conclusion, it can be said that the mission was a success. To customer’s satisfaction all of his requests were processed and emerged issues were solved. In the next phase there comes a tough job for Chinese workers: build a whole airplane by themselves. Fingers crossed!

Technology Transfer China: On-Site Support

Direct Fly team was sent to China again. Chinese company who purchased Technology Transfer package last year is increasing its ALTO 912TG fleet. First two airplanes were shipped and assembled earlier this year.  Container with another two airplanes was handed over in Autumn 2017. After this, Chinese manufacturer requested on-site technical support from Direct Fly company when re-assembling these two aircrafts.

First stop of Direct Fly team took place at local airfield where two of ALTO airplanes were being operated. Beside little repairs customer was instructed in brake circuit bleeding. Questions and other remarks were answered and our team could continue to fulfil its main task.

Assembling of the two new aircrafts was held in giant site which belonged to Chinese manufacturer. Direct Fly team was mainly supervising Chinese employees work and provided technical hints. Part of the assembling is also the engine test which was successfully performed on both airplanes. After compass calibration first flight of these two airplanes in Chinese airspace was done. Chinese pilot who was trained in the Czech Republic sat behind the stick. The pilot managed to get airborne and land safely which proved the success of DF’s on-site support.
